The Portuguese PGA have released their list of star professionals to compete on our "Spanish/Portuguese
Swing" over the next couple of weeks, namely Hugo Santos, Antonio Rosado, Antonio Sabrinho, Elidio Costa and Nelson Cavalheiro.

The competition should be strong with numerous Challenge Tour players and a sprinkling of ex-European Tour players with of course some of ourTop Jamega performers.

Keep a close eye on our website to see how it all pans out, with the overall winner receiving an invite into
The Madeira Islands Open in May of this year. What a great incentive. Good Luck to you all.

Former Jamega Tour player stars in Africa

Dan BrooksDaniel Brooks shook off the rust from a winter break in Europe and managed his third round in the 60s on Saturday when he shot 68 at The Links at Fancourt during round three of the Dimension Data Pro-Am

“It’s good to be playing well and scoring nicely again. We have a couple of months off over the winter and the last couple of weeks haven’t really gone my way after the break, but now things are going well and it feels great,” he said.

The 26-year-old Englishman set the clubhouse lead with his 14-under-par tally. The R3,75-million tournament has a cut to 65 and ties at the 54-hole mark, and Brooks had moved right into contention.

“I’ve just been playing really steady, and even when I hit a bad shot it’s going on the green and I’m holing my fair share of putts, and that’s everything you need to do to get up there,” he said.

In his five years as a professional, Brooks has topped leaderboards before, so being in the hunt was nothing new.

“I’ve played a few Challenge Tour events and been up there a few times so I know what it’s all about and I’m just going to head out there looking for a bit of fun,” he said.

Brooks had not lost sight of the trophy, but was most excited to be playing well after his winter hiatus. With a final round on the Montagu course tomorrow, where he shot a Thursday 68, the Englishman looked forward to another chance to shoot low now that he’s rediscovered some form.
